Tour Plan
Be welcomed by your guide on arrival at Addis Abeba Bole international Airport,
and transfer in to your hotel.
Beginning of the tour in Addis Ababa, Morning free (may be exchange money,
when necessary briefing of the itinerary etc and be ready for the tour).
Afternoon, tour of the capital: visit Entoto Mountains with spectacular views
over the capital, the National museum and Trinity church. Overnight Hotel
Drive to Lake Hawassa, Visit Lake Zeway, Langano, Abyata-Shala National Park.
Proceed to Hawassa & Overnight in a hotel
Drive to Arbaminch, Visit Nechsar National park and make a boat excursion on
Lake chamo. Overnight Arbaminch in a hotel
Drive to chencha, visit the Dorze people with their typical beehive shaped huts
and return to Arbaminch for lunch. After lunch drive to konso. O/N Konso in
Hotel/Lodge
Morning visit Konso villages and interact with Konso tribes and enjoy their
unique traditions, recently registered as a UNESCO heritage site. Konso must rank
as among the most singular of African Nations.
Late afternoon drive back to Arba minch. O/N Arbaminch in a Hotel
Drive back to Wondogenet (a famous resort area surrounded by thick forest
which is a home of wide variety of bird species). En-route enjoys visiting coffee
plantations as well as the Sidama people. Relax in the natural hot spring baths at
Wondognet. Overnight Wondogenet in a hotel
Drive back to Addis Ababa and if time permits visit the Merkato (biggest open air
market in Africa). Evening will be traditional dinner with folkloristic dances as a
Farwell night party. Evening or next day will be departure. For those who still
have time we suggest other tours.
